A Chinese translation of the third edition of 鈥淒issemination and Implementation Research in Health: Translating Science to Practice,鈥� has been published. The book is the definitive guide to the rapidly growing field of dissemination and implementation (D&I) science, which aims to turn research findings into meaningful changes that promote public health. 

鈥淭he core principle of D&I 鈥� translating evidence-based knowledge into practice through scientifically guided approaches 鈥� needs to be more widely recognized and adopted by researchers, policymakers and practitioners,鈥� said聽Shenyang Guo, PhD, the Frank J. Bruno Distinguished Professor of Social Work Research at Washington University in St. Louis鈥� Brown School, and the lead translator. Guo led a team of six Chinese scholars through a painstaking, monthslong translation process.聽

鈥淭his Chinese edition represents one more step toward disseminating the important concepts, theories, and methods of D&I science to a broader global audience,鈥� he said. 

The book was edited by聽, PhD, the Steven H. and Susan U. Lipstein Distinguished Professor at the Andrew M. and Jane M. Bursky School of Public Health at Washington University in St. Louis;聽, MD, DrPH, the Niess-Gain Professor of Surgery and the director of the Division of Public Health Sciences at WashU Medicine, and a member of the Bursky Public Health secondary faculty; and聽Enola Proctor, PhD, the Shanti K. The Chinese edition has been published by China Social Sciences Press, one of China鈥檚 leading academic publishers.
